HEY!!!!!

Okay, so apparently I'm going for the record of longest time between posts. It has been officially 4 months and 25 days since my last post, and subsequently my birthday!! So I'm writing to officially say that I'm no longer going to post on Xanga. What you should do to keep up with me and check out my actualy blog at www.theweekendcast.com or at http://photoba.blogspot.com The first one is my podcast of great indie tunes (on Saturdays and Sundays) and the other is my personal blog about whatever is on my mind.

Peace Out!!!

Movies and March Madness

Okay, so I bit the bullet. I went and saw Ultraviolet last night. It's the new movie with Milla Jovavich playing a character eerily similar to Aeon Flux. I did not go see Aeon Flux, but if it was anything like Ultraviolet, I'm not missing much. This movie was a complete waste of time. I've never really walked out of a movie saying that it flat out sucked, but this time I did. I usually find some sort of good thing to say about it, but no dice for Milla. I'm thinking that she peaked when she was in The Fifth Element. If anyone is thinking about seeing this movie.....don't. It felt like a really long, bad, concept commercial where you don't know what they are advertising. Same thing here. Oh well, at least it only cost $5. Hollywood is doing some good March Madness pricing. All month, all showings are $5.

Which brings me to March Madness. I've already had two heart attacks tonight. Once for Gonzaga (my predicted champion) and once for GW (one of my final four). I'm going to die Saturday night when GW plays Duke...I've got GW winning and knocking out the #1 seed in the entire tourney. They did it during the season, thinking they've got a shot at doing it again. Gonzaga came down to the final 30 seconds and GW went into overtime.

That's all for now. Heading out to Kongo's to celebrate my 24th B-Day!!!! Ya'll have fun now!

Anything and Everything

Okay, so the concert was flat out amazing. Probably the best live show I've ever been to. Well, to be fair, it probably ties with the Dave show I saw at the Ford Center a couple years ago. But anyway, the music was amazing, the lights were mesmerizing and the best part was that it was completely obvious from the way the band interacted with each other, that there is no ego in the band. They play and act as one unit, and that is what makes Coldplay such a good band. One of the highlights was when they played their acoustic set and played "Things I Don't Understand." This song was originally written for Johnny Cash, although he was never able to record it. But immediately after they finished that, they went directly into one of the most fun renditions of "Ring of Fire" that I've heard. The entire audience immediately roared and sung along with the chorus. The verses were a little more subdued from the audience's perspective because most didn't know all the words, I guess. But it was awesome.

In other news, I'm incredibly ready for spring break to get here. Although, the only bad thing about spring break is that I'm getting another year older. I will be 24 on Thursday of spring break. That is the 16th. Hopefully I will be able to celebrate a little the next day when I hit O'Connell's with some friend for St. Patty's. So I will now commence with the time honored Xanga tradition of creating a countdown. So I will countdown the days till I'm 24.

Days till I'm even older: 10

Peace out!

Finally!!!

Wow, so it's been almost two months since my last update. A lot has been going on in this little life. Scandals is in full swing now that we have made it past tryouts, so that makes my life even crazier.

I have started my own podcast. I'm really enjoying getting it up and running. You can see the podcast page HERE. It's fun mainly because I get to play some cool music and talk about the general things that are happening in my life, but also about things that are happening in the world at large. It's called The Daily Rambler and it's actually on the iTunes music store now, so that was exciting. Not that exciting, since the only requirement for getting listed is that your podcast actually work, technically. But still fun, nonetheless. The whole podcast thing is also another part of my life that not a lot of people get to see. Mostly, because a lot of people aren't either aware of podcasting, or because they just aren't interested in it.

Besides the podcast, I've been going crazy with work at Student Media. We are having now to find a new person to hire here cause another guy just turned in his two weeks notice. So, if any of you have computer expertise, particularly with Macs, and need like 20 hours a week, let me know and I tell you how to apply. That job, added to DG, added to Scandals, added to full classes makes for a fun semester. Sometimes, I feel overprogrammed, but then I realize that if I wasn't so programmed, I'd be bored out of my mind and while I'm still here in college (although it's been longer than most) I need to get the most out of everything available.

Speaking of still being in college, I on track to graduate next spring (May 07). I'm gonna have to take a few summer classes, prolly like 9 hours, but it'll be nice to get some of the crap out of the way so that I can graduate and have my minor too. I'm minoring in Film Video Studies. So my next two semesters will be full of FVS classes and Ad classes. So much fun!!

Anyway, I'm at work updating this, so I'd better run. Please check out the podcast, and drop me a line at the podcast email:  dailyrambler@gmail.com

Peace and love everyone!!!
